Carved deer antler amulet talisman pendant
Steeped in symbolism comes a talisman/totem pendant.
Beautifully hand carved deer antler capped in a sterling silver flower and butterfly topper.
I started with a 3 inch deer antler, hand carved with flowers all the way around. (beautiful all on it's own).
To continue the daisy theme, i created the sterling silver cap adorned with a cute little butterfly and sterling silver daisy and leaves.
The entire cap was then oxidized and polished to bring out the textures and highlights of the silver work.
At four inches in length, this one of a kind piece looks beautiful worn all on it's own or layered with other pieces. The width is right at one inch.
Butterfly totem and transformation
The butterfly is a symbol of powerful transformations. By analogy to the development of this animal, the meaning associated with the butterfly emphasizes the ability to move from one state, perspective, lifestyle to another.
