This lovely choker starts with an approximately 21mm x 15mm, tear-shaped, hand-carved Intaglio in Amber cabochon. A single flower with leaves as shown in the photos.
I surrounded the Amber in sterling silver, flanked by two sterling silver beads on either side of the pendant. The total size of the pendant from the top of the bail to the bottom is just under 1 1/2 inch long and about 3/4 of an inch at it's widest.
The 3 mm braided, antique brown leather is finished with a lovely sterling silver hook and loop closure.
The choker hasn't been finished so I can customize it's length to your preference up to 17 inches in length. Just let me know what you prefer.
About the Amber:
This particular cabochon comes from southern Mexico dating back to 20 millions years ago. It was the sap of a prehistoric cedar tree! You will see natural inclusions such as debris and bits of leaves or silt and even sometimes bugs! Its fair trade and ethically sourced.
Amber is considered a stone of purifying light and ancient wisdom. Metaphysically, it is valued for its ability to absorb negative energies, promote emotional clarity, and bring a warm, sunny vitality to the spirit
